The Syrian Peace Action Centre (SPACE) is looking for engaged, organized and self-motivated people to join the team, either as interns or volunteers.

Who are you?

We are looking for people who are:

  • Engaged, organized and self-motivated with a genuine interest in the Syrian/Middle Eastern societies, politics and culture.
  • Fluent in one, or more, of the following languages is required: Norwegian, English or Arabic.
  • Have one of the skills listed below
  • Have knowledge of the Norwegian society and politics (preferred, but not required).

We are a voluntary organization with little more than good will and commitment to drive us, and we are always looking for engaged people to join us.

We do we offer?

We can offer unpaid intern or volunteering positions—depending on your time. In either case, you will:

  • Be part of the core team and learn more about how SPACE operates. 
  • Meet with our guest speakers spanning a great line up of intellectuals, researchers, activists and artists.
  • Meet many of our Norwegian partners and work closely with them.
  • Get firsthand perspectives of the Middle East and Syria.

We promise a friendly and dynamic environment, Arabic conversation and, maybe, some Syrian meze! 

Who are we?

The Syrian Peace Action Center (SPACE) is a non-profit and independent association established in May 2015 in Norway. SPACE organizes recurring events about the Syrian cause in collaboration with key stakeholders in Norway. In three years, SPACE organized more than 25 events including panel debates, films screenings, exhibitions and talks about Syria, partnered with more than 15 Norwegian NGOs, research institutes and cultural centers, and was featured in key Norwegian media outlets.
